This guide covers how to restore just an individual site from your HostiFi or any other cloud hosted UniFi Controller. This will allow you to add an existing site to a UniFi server, without having to restore all of the sites.

This is useful if the config on a site gets messed up from a few weeks ago and needs restoring. We can't just restore an entire backup from that time period as it would roll back any major changes, as well as any devices that were added or removed.

This method will allow you to restore the back up to a new server, export from that server to the current server and then delete the new server.

Contents

Legacy User Interface

Before we start, make sure to grab a backup from the current site - just in case something happens. To do this, first go to 'Settings'

Then go to 'Site'

Then, scroll down slightly and find the "Export Site' button

Next, delete the site you want to restore an older version for from the current controller. To do this, go to 'Settings'

Next, go to Site again

Then click the red "Delete Site' button. Note, this will only show up if there is more than one site on your UniFi server.

Next, take a backup of the entire server. To do this, go to 'Settings' again

Then, go to the 'Backup' section

Next is to download the latest backup file
